World motorcycle travellers to meet in Victoria

World motorcycle traveller Bernd Tesch brings his famous 'Globetrotter' motorcycle meeting to Australia for a gathering in Victoria on 15-16 January 2005.
Bernd, who has organised 46 Globetrotter meetings since 1978, holds his second Australian meeting in the Rubicon State Forest campsite, near Melbourne.
All motorcyclists who have experienced long distance motorcycle travel, or hope to embark on their own world motorcycle adventure, are welcome to attend, Bernd says.
"The best thing about these gatherings is always the world-traveller atmosphere - to exchange experiences is the main subject." Bernd and wife Patti are now travelling around Australia test riding two BMW R 1150 GS sponsored by BMW Motorcycle Australia.
"After our trip through Australia we would like to meet Australian motorcycle travellers and foreign overlanders who are now on their journey," he says.
Bernd Tesch is an experienced world motorcycle traveller and since 1977 has taken on the role of offering advice and outfitting motorcycle travellers heading off on adventures to the four corners of the globe: to Africa, Asia, Australia, Russia and the Americas.
"I have been collecting information about motorcycle world travellers including overland-tours to and around Australia for 30 years, and I would be very grateful for more information from Australians about historical motorcycle tours 1903-1980 in Australia," Bernd says.
